Soccer Recap: Greater Johnstown Comes Up Short

Greater Johnstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to the Bellefonte Raiders. While losing is never fun, Greater Johnstown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 489th, while Bellefonte are ranked 109th).

Greater Johnstown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Bellefonte, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greater Johnstown will take on rival Penns Valley Area at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bellefonte is set to challenge their familiar foe Central Cambria at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
