Volleyball Recap: Blue Valley Southwest Wins High-Profile Contest Against Blue Valley North + How To Watch

Blue Valley Southwest faced Blue Valley North in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Timberwolves came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Timberwolves also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Blue Valley Southwest easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-19.

Leading Blue Valley Southwest to victory were Catlin Shao and Melia Peters. Shao had 15 assists and three digs, while Peters had five digs and three assists. Shao has been hot, having posted 15 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Blue Valley Southwest's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Blue Valley North, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Coincidentally, Blue Valley Southwest and Blue Valley North will both be playing St. James Academy the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will host the Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Timberwolves will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
