Basketball Recap: Simley's Win Ends 18-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Simley's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 64-54 victory over the Hill-Murray Pioneers. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Pioneers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 55-43 loss.

Simley's win ended an 18-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-12. As for Hill-Murray, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Simley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 61-41 loss against North on the 4th. As for Hill-Murray, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-59 defeat against Hastings on the 4th.
