Basketball Recap: Lawrence Takes a Loss

Lawrence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 52-23 loss at the hands of the Notre Dame Irish. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 355th, while the Irish are ranked 133rd).

Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Notre Dame, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lawrence Cardinals duke it out with the Maple Shade Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame, they will square off against Middletown South at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
