Softball Recap: Shelby County Rockets vs. Model Patriots
Shelby County put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 18-2 margin over the Model Patriots. The victory was familiar territory for Shelby County who now have three in a row.
Kaylee Cox was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched. Cox was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
