Basketball Recap: Danbury Comes Up Short

Danbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 77-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks. The Lakers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crimson Streaks earlier this season, when they won 74-57.

Despite the loss, Danbury still got an impressive performance from Frankie Kovach, who went 10-for-23 to rack up 33 points and seven boards. Kovach's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Miles McDonald, who posted seven points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.

Danbury's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-17.

Danbury wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-64 defeat against Lakota on the 14th. St. Joseph Central Catholic has also already played their next contest (against Vanlue), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
