Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Shamokin Area's offense. They lost 4-0 to Montgomery on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for Shamokin Area in their meetings with Montgomery: they've now lost four in a row.

Shamokin Area's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. Mifflinburg's draw makes their record 4-8-1 this season.

Mifflinburg was able to grind out a solid win over Shamokin Area in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
