Volleyball Recap: Carbon Dinos vs. American Heritage Patriots
After flying high against Providence Hall on Thursday, Carbon came back down to earth. The Dinos fell 3-1 to the American Heritage Patriots on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss last Saturday.
Carbon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made American Heritage work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 23-25, 26-24, 25-14.
Carter Warburton paced Carbon's offense, picking up 14 kills. Warburton got some help from Grant Mathis and his 21 assists. Charles Tima controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Carbon's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8. As for American Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Carbon will challenge rival Juab at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, American Heritage is set to take on their familiar foe Juan Diego Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
