Softball Game Preview: Saint Jo Panthers vs. Muenster Hornets

Saint Jo is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Muenster a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Saint Jo Panthers will host the Muenster Hornets at 11:00 a.m. Neither Saint Jo nor Muenster posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Saint Jo came up short against Chico on Friday, falling 21-2.

Meanwhile, Muenster didn't have quite enough to beat Petrolia on Friday and fell 3-1.

Skyler Reed put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Reed was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple. That triple was her first of the season.

Reed wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brynlee Berend, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Muenster's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Saint Jo, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
