Soccer Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside lost against Jay back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Southside Cardinals came up short against the Jay Mustangs, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 534th in Texas, while the Mustangs are ranked 145th in Texas).

Southside is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10. As for Jay, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-3.

Coincidentally, Southside and Jay will both be playing South San Antonio the next time they take the pitch. Jay will head out to face South San Antonio at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Southside will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
