Football Game Preview: Warren County Eagles vs. Weldon Chargers + Official Tickets

The Warren County Eagles will square off against the Weldon Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Warren County has six straight wins, Weldon has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Warren County will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Northampton County, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Eagles blew past the Jaguars 51-8 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Warren County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Graham Hosch, who rushed for 134 yards and three scores on only 11 carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Hosch a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zynir Douglas, who rushed for 50 yards and a pair of TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Warren County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 331 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northampton County only rushed for 65.

Weldon played against KIPP P on Friday and lost via forfeit.

Weldon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Warren County, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Warren County against Weldon in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-8 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
