Baseball Recap: Haverhill's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Haverhill gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Newburyport Clippers. That's more bragging rights for the Hillies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Haverhill, bringing their record up to 6-13. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Newburyport, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.

Coincidentally, Haverhill and Newburyport will both be playing Whittier RVT the next time they take the field. The Clippers will head out to face the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Hillies will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
