Baseball Recap: Randolph County Beats Saks for Their Fourth Straight Win

Randolph County came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Saks Wildcats 15-2. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Michael Robinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Robinson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Rhett Huddleston was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. Creed Blankenship was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Randolph County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .633. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saks only posted an OBP of .200.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 6-17. As for Saks, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Randolph County beat the Wildcats by a score of 15-0 later that day.
