Chapin is a perfect 10-0 against Canutillo since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Huskies will face off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Chapin got the win against Jefferson by a conclusive 17-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.
Khloe Jensen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Jensen was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Chapin got a massive performance out of Deja Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in RBI (three). Jaedyne Armendariz also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triples of the season.
Chapin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson only posted an OBP of .389.
Meanwhile, Canutillo had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Mustangs.
Katelynn Quezada was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Alina Banda was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5.
Chapin's record is now 20-6-2. As for Canutillo, their record now sits at 16-9-1.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chapin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .551. However, it's not like Canutillo struggles in that department as they've averaged .482. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chapin took their victory against Canutillo in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 16-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
