Soccer Recap: Ridgefield Takes a Loss

Ridgefield lost against Columbia River back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spudders fell just short of the Rapids by a score of 5-4. While losing is never fun, Ridgefield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 189th, while Columbia River are ranked 14th).

Ridgefield has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Columbia River, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ridgefield will square off against Woodland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgefield are facing Woodland at the right time seeing as Woodland are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Columbia River, they are taking a road trip to challenge Hockinson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hockinson will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Columbia River surely won't give up without a fight.
