Basketball Recap: Cambria Seaman Key Part of Team Effort in Patriots Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hi-Plains had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the De Beque Dragons by a score of 40-32. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Hi-Plains' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cambria Seaman led the charge by putting up 16 points and three steals. Seaman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Henschel, who posted 12 points along with six boards and three steals.

Hi-Plains' win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for De Beque, they moved to 17-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hi-Plains will take on McClave at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. McClave is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60 points per game this season. De Beque does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
