Baseball Recap: Ferris Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Ferris had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Walla Walla Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Ferris saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bo Johnson, who went 2-for-5 with one stolen base.

Walla Walla's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Ferris wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-3 loss against Hermiston on the 22nd. As for Walla Walla, they will face off against Pasco at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give Walla Walla their first taste of in-conference action this season.
