Soccer Game Preview: Academic Magnet vs. Bishop England

The Academic Magnet Raptors will face off against the Bishop England Battling Bishops at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Academic Magnet's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Pinewood Prep.

Meanwhile, Bishop England had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They blew past the Bobcats 6-1. Bishop England might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by four goals or more this season.

Academic Magnet has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 44 goals over those nine games. Bishop England's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
