Soccer Game Preview: Owyhee vs. Caldwell

The Owyhee Storm will square off against the Caldwell Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Owyhee's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Capital 4-0. The high-scoring effort was just what Owyhee needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

They hit Capital with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Camden Ellis-Pitkin, Ishaq Bisharat, Jordan Shupe, and Yanis Vendee.

Meanwhile, Caldwell waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Golden Eagles. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Caldwell considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Caldwell's victory bumped their record up to 10-4-2. As for Owyhee, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Owyhee beat Caldwell 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Storm since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
