            The Faith Lutheran Crusaders will head out to  take on the Basic Wolves  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Faith Lutheran is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Nevada's top teams: Liberty, who was ranked second  at the time (Faith Lutheran was ranked 22nd). The Crusaders had to suffer through  a    42-10 loss at the hands of the Patriots. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

 Faith Lutheran didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Ace Brimmer and  Bennett Madden. With that strong performance,  Madden is now averaging an impressive 5.2  total tackles per game. Another thorn in Liberty's side was  Joel Sandoval, who picked up  a  sack and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile,  Basic played a tough  contest  on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a  blow against Foothill, falling  68-27. The Wolves were down  68-21 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
 Faith Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Basic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Faith Lutheran won a  matchup that couldn't have been any closer  in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, slipping by Basic 24-23. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wolves'  Anthony Vega, who rushed for 32 yards and one  touchdown, and also threw for 121 yards and one  TD. Now that he won't be playing  on Friday, will it be easier for the Crusaders to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
