Volleyball Recap: Tivy Takes a Loss

Tivy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Braunfels Unicorns. The Antlers were not able to make up for their loss to the Unicorns from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

New Braunfels was led to victory by Jordynn Ash and Hayden Jeffers. Ash had 11 digs and two aces, while Jeffers had seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Jeffers has posted over her last nine matchups. Shaylie Schaefer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Tivy now has a losing record of 7-8. As for New Braunfels, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Tivy has already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against La Vernia on the 23rd. As for New Braunfels, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cedar Park on the 22nd.
