Soccer Recap: Boonville Comes Up Short

Boonville lost against Evansville Central back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pioneers lost 6-1 to the Bears. While losing is never fun, Boonville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Evansville Central are ranked 105th).

Boonville is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Evansville Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boonville will head out to square off against Princeton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Evansville Central, they will venture away from home to take on Evansville Bosse at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Evansville Central will be up against Evansville Bosse's rather soft defense (which has allowed 9.5 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
