Flag Football Game Preview: Bolingbrook Raiders vs. Plainfield East Bengals

The Bolingbrook Raiders will take on the Plainfield East Bengals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bolingbrook has three straight wins, Plainfield East has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bolingbrook's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Danville as they made off with a 20-0 victory.

Bolingbrook's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heaven Harris, who rushed for 132 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Harris' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked her third straight game with at least 100 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Sullivan, who rushed for 69 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bolingbrook was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 215 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 83.6 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 212.

Meanwhile, Plainfield East took a blow against Plainfield Central on Wednesday, falling 54-13.

Plainfield East's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Bolingbrook, their record now sits at 13-10.
