After losing to the First Academy Eagles the last time they met, the Meadowbrook Academy Mustangs decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Meadowbrook Academy came out on top against First Academy by a score of 61-53 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Meadowbrook Academy.

Meadowbrook Academy was led to victory by Gaige Daugherty and Tico Smith. Daugherty scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals, while Smith scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least 25% of Meadowbrook Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Fonseca, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds.

The victory got Meadowbrook Academy back to even at 2-2. As for First Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Meadowbrook Academy will head out on the road to face off against Taylor at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Taylor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Thursday. As for First Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Crooms Academy at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Crooms Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
