Basketball Recap: Pearce's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Pearce had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Cypress Creek Cougars with a 56-52 victory on Friday.

Cypress Creek's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryce Efird, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds. Brock Givens was another key player, shooting 70% from the field en route to 15 points.

Pearce now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Cypress Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Pearce has already played their next game, a 48-41 win against Fort Bend Elkins on the 22nd. As for Cypress Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-67 victory against Richardson on the 22nd.
