            Anahuac hasn't had much luck against Orangefield recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Anahuac Panthers  face off against  Orangefield Bobcats at 7:00  p.m.
On Tuesday, Anahuac came up short against Orangefield  and fell  7-3.
For Orangefield's part,  Carson Gonzales spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. Gonzales has been consistent : he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Ethan Sanders was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Matthew Johnson, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Orangefield has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record  this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. Anahuac's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-9-1.
