Brek Benedict put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off four hits.

Even though Benedict couldn't lead Fossil Ridge over Rocky Mountain, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Benedict's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the SaberCats' three-game streak of wins on the road.
