McCook Central/Montrose's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They blew past the Flandreau Fliers 12-3. Considering the Fighting Cougars have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

McCook Central/Montrose has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Flandreau, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-10.
