Western had won 17 straight games and Byron Miranda did his part to make it 18 on Thursday. Everything went the Pioneers' way against the Orange Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory thanks in part to Miranda, who had 21 digs and two assists. Miranda is crushing it when it comes to digs: he's had at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season.
Western was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 25-19.
Western's win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-1. As for Orange, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.
