Football Recap: Wheaton North Comes Up Short

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Wheaton North and St. Charles North had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Falcons lost 34-12 to the North Stars on Friday. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the North Stars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Burke Neibch threw for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Tyler Kading was his top target, picking up 55 receiving yards and one score.

St. Charles North can attribute much of their success to Aidan McClure, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one TD.

Wheaton North suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-2. As for St. Charles North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Wheaton North will face off against St. Charles East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Fighting Saints' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Charles North, they will square off against Batavia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The North Stars will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matches.
