Basketball Game Preview: First Baptist Crusaders vs. Fourth Baptist Christian Warriors

The First Baptist Crusaders will face off against the Fourth Baptist Christian Warriors at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. First Baptist has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Tuesday, First Baptist came up short against South Metro HomeSchool and fell 71-64. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now lost seven in a row.

Despite the defeat, First Baptist had strong showings from Caleb Lindsay, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points, and Isaac Wynja, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points and six boards. The dominant performance gave Lindsay a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Brody Jaeger, who posted 11 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, First Baptist was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Fourth Baptist Christian also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Omaha R by a score of 50-41. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 204th in Minnesota, while the Roadrunners are ranked 66th in Nebraska).

Fourth Baptist Christian now has a losing record at 4-5. As for First Baptist, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
