Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Eaton

Eaton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Strasburg Indians 19-4. Considering the Reds have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Shane Welle was excellent, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Tito Lopez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Eaton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Eaton's victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Strasburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.
