Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage Hall Christian). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 win over the Emmanuel Christian Eagles on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since November 14, 2023.

Emmanuel Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Zander McKnight and Zion McKnight. Zander posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Zion had 13 points in addition to five assists and four steals. Zander is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. AJ Kirtlan was another key player, putting up eight points and ten boards.

Heritage Hall Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Emmanuel Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

Heritage Hall Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Community Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Emmanuel Christian, they will head out to square off against Grace Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 16th.
