Softball Recap: Coral Gables Falls Short of Ferguson in the Playoffs

Coral Gables and Ferguson squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Coral Gables had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to the Falcons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Cavaliers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Coral Gables' defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Ferguson, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Coral Gables does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ferguson, they will take on Coral Reef at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Barracudas' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
