Volleyball Recap: Pierre T.F. Riggs Comes Up Short

Pierre T.F. Riggs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lincoln Patriots, falling 3-0. Governors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Patriots since Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-16, 25-10.

Among those leading the charge was Julia Blom, who had ten digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Pierre T.F. Riggs' loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Lincoln, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Pierre T.F. Riggs is set to take on their familiar foe Tea at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lincoln will challenge rival Yankton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
