Basketball Recap: Knoxville Central Takes a Loss

Knoxville Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 50-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Powell Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while the Panthers are ranked 75th).

Knoxville Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Powell, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Knoxville Central Bobcats face off against the Campbell County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st. As for Powell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Halls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
