League recap: Luzny overpowering for Cascade Christian in past week

Isaiah Luzny was the best pitcher in the league this week. His stat line for the week included two wins and 24 Ks.

Behind a 1-0 record over the past week, Illinois Valley made the biggest jump in the national rankings, all the way from 10060 to 9992. Illinois Valley is currently sitting at No. 128 in the state of Oregon, thanks to an overall record of 9-5.

Cascade Christian boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. The Challengers' pitchers have been charged with only 114 hits and have struck out 181 batters. Luzny is tops on the staff with 66 Ks.

Cascade Christian scored a league-best 33 runs this week, adding to its league-leading 171 runs on the season. The Challengers' key hitters include Jake Miller, who has a team-high 26 runs, and Luzny, who leads the squad with with 21 RBIs.
