Football Game Preview: KIPP P Pride vs. Northampton County Jaguars + How To Watch

KIPP P is 1-7 against Northampton County since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Pride will be playing at home against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. KIPP P will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

KIPP P took a 32-point loss the last time they faced off against Warren County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Pride narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 30-28.

Meanwhile, Northampton County won against Northwest Halifax last Friday with 34 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Jaguars strolled past Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy with points to spare, taking the game 34-20.

Northampton County found their leader in sophomore Amare Gills, who rushed for 269 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Thanks to that big game, Gills is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season. Another player making a difference was William Whitaker, who gained 69 total yards.

KIPP P's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Northampton County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for KIPP P against Northampton County in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 47-14 win. Do the Pride have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
