Queen's Grant piles up the points against Apprentice Academy

The Queen's Grant Stallions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Apprentice Academy 101-53 at home. Queen's Grant has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Queen's Grant was led to victory by Kenston Richardson and Garrett Morgan. Richardson scored 30 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Morgan dropped a double-double on 33 points and ten assists. Morgan is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Christian Shamberger was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.

Apprentice Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Radear Watson, who scored 21 points along with three steals and two blocks. That was a full 39.6% of Apprentice Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Eddington, who scored 15 points along with two steals.

Queen's Grant now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Apprentice Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen's Grant will take on South Charlotte T at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in South Charlotte T's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matchups. Apprentice Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Piedmont Community Charter is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.
