Football Recap: West Valley Eagles vs. Enterprise Hornets
Friday just wasn't the day for West Valley's offense. They were dealt a 36-0 loss at the hands of the Enterprise Hornets on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 649th, while the Hornets are ranked 322nd).
West Valley wouldn't let Enterprise keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. West Valley can thank Trent Nehls and Ethan Phillips for forcing both of them.
Jj Johnson was nothing short of spectacular for Enterprise: he rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Enterprise also got a significant boost from Dashawn Townsend, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 110 yards.
West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Enterprise, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
West Valley will square off against Foothill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Enterprise, they will take on Lassen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
