Basketball Recap: Coram Deo Academy Comes Up Short

Coram Deo Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 49-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Lions. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Coram Deo Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-41 back in January.

Despite the loss, Coram Deo Academy still got an impressive performance from Selah Johnson, who posted 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That was a full 38.1% of Coram Deo Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Emily Revering was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

Coram Deo Academy's loss dropped their record down to 24-9. As for Trinity Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-19.

Coram Deo Academy has already played their next match, a 56-50 win against Southwest Christian School on the 4th. As for Trinity Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-20 defeat against Midland Christian on the 4th.
