Meanwhile, Putnam City had to suffer through a 66-29 loss at the hands of Mustang. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Broncos are ranked 19th).

Deer Creek pushed their record up to 11-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Putnam City, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
