Morrill piles up the points against Minatare

Recap: Morrill Lions vs. Minatare Indians

The Morrill Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 64-36 win over Minatare at home. Morrill has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Morrill was led to victory by Pittman Ashwin and Wyler Fisher. Ashwin scored 18 points along with three steals and three blocks, while Fisher scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five assists. Fisher also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Green, who scored 12 points along with four steals.

The win was the third in a row for Morrill, bringing their record for this year to 8-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Minatare, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Morrill will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Sioux County at 7:30 p.m. Sioux County is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Minatare, they will head out on the road to square off against Leyton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
