Basketball Recap: St. Mary's Ryken Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

St. Mary's Ryken had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the St. Mary's Saints by a score of 61-50 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. Mary's Ryken's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for St. Mary's, they dropped their record down to 9-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's Ryken will square off against Bishop McNamara at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bishop McNamara knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 matches -- so hopefully St. Mary's Ryken likes a good challenge. As for St. Mary's, they are taking a road trip to take on St. John's Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
