Baseball Game Preview: Crowley Eagles vs. Roosevelt Mustangs

The Crowley Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Roosevelt Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Roosevelt took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Crowley, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Crowley came out on top against Brewer by a score of 7-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Ian Sullivan tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caleb James, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That hit was his first of the season. Alexander Johnson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 20-2 to Great Hearts Irving.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Crowley, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
