Basketball Recap: Western Find Success

After losing to Fairfield the last time they met, Western decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Western Indians narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Fairfield Lions 68-66.

Western has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Fairfield, they moved to 6-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Western will square off against Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Western has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Fairfield, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hillsboro at 7:30 p.m. Hillsboro will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fairfield surely won't give up without a fight.
