Baseball Game Preview: Kenwood Bluebirds vs. Franklin Indians

The Kenwood Bluebirds will face off against the Franklin Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Things were looking good for Kenwood after they put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Pikesville, falling 12-2. The contest marked the Bluebirds' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Kenwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Rineman, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Franklin's offense. They lost 9-0 to Catonsville on Wednesday.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Kenwood, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Kenwood suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Franklin in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Bluebirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
