Recap: Carroll Eagles vs. Greenville Tigers
The Carroll Eagles''s three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They skirted past Greenville 35-33. The victory was just what Carroll needed coming off of a 52-22 loss in their prior contest.
Leading Carroll to victory were Keyshawn Cole and Lakeith Person. Cole rushed for 144 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, while Person gained 204 total yards and two touchdowns. Peyton Plott also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Greenville, their defeat was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll will take on Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Valley is ranked 73rd, while Carroll is ranked 95th). As for Greenville, they will stay at home for another week and welcome Demopolis at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Demopolis will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
