Volleyball Recap: Anna Duelge Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Delavan-Darien

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Catholic Memorial had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Delavan-Darien Comets with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Catholic Memorial took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-12.

Catholic Memorial's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anna Duelge led the charge by getting ten digs and four assists. That's the most assists Duelge has posted over her last six matches.

Catholic Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 24-16. As for Delavan-Darien, they moved to 22-13 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Catholic Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Kettle Moraine Lutheran on the 30th. Delavan-Darien does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
