Football Game Preview: Northridge Polar Bears vs. Riverside Pirates

The Northridge Polar Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Riverside Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northridge is looking for their season's first victory.

On Friday, Northridge took a blow against Miami East, falling 44-8.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Riverside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Bethel with a 21-16 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bees: they've now won five in a row.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Riverside, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Northridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Riverside in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 14-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Polar Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
